Why IFIBCA Membership

IFIBCA identifies and brings together likeminded companies to represent the voice of Indian FIBC industry and promote manufacturing. It involves members’ participation in various forums & sub groups of IFIBCA on subjects such as Technology, Exports, Domestic Market, Government Policies, Quality, standardization etc. and formulate recommendation to competent authority for the growth of all segments of FIBC Industry.

IFIBCA regularly engages with the central and state governments on issues of relevance to the industry. Members can raise issues with IFIBCA that have industry wide impact. IFIBCA represents matters and problems faced by its members, individually or as a group to the Government to find solutions and provide relief from unreasonable acts, notifications of administrative and policy making departments of the various ministries.

IFIBCA promotes FIBC manufacturing through active representation in the Government as well as scientific and technical institutions and industry and trade organisations in India and abroad.

IFIBCA provides a bouquet of professional and value-added services to its members. IFIBCA’s value added services to its members, facilitate business and trade in FIBC’s and create an ecosystem that promotes growth and profitability of the industry. IFIBCA is a repository of information, readily available for its members and helps them in taking critical decisions based on relevant facts.

This is achieved through following activities:

  1. Promote Trade, Protect and Encourage interests of members.
  2. Develop IFIBCA branding and Establish Performance Standards and Quality Mark and Authorise use of Quality Mark.
  3. Represent members at the National and International forums.
  4. Promote IFIBCA Interactive Website with information dissemination and advertising opportunities.
  5. Provide Activities to Benefit the Members including, Memberships, Directory, Annual Budget Proposals, Weekly Reports and Analysis of International Raw Materials & Prices.
  6. Provide forums for Exchange of Views and Information, including blogs, podcasts, articles, journals and technical papers.
  7. Encourage Industry Development and International Recognition through Business and Trade Bodies and Indian Consulates & Embassies Overseas.
  8. Develop infrastructural facilities for Quality Upgradation, Technology and Automation.
  9. To conduct and organize exhibitions, trade shows, trade fairs, conventions, buyer seller meetings, seminars, symposia and technical visits to create awareness to the products of members, to compile and publish information by way of journal, periodicals and directories, and to provide facilities like laboratory, library and training cells for the benefit of members and user industry sector.
  10. Represent Policy and provide Advocacy for Industry to Government with Ministries, DGFT / CBIC / MCOM/ MFIN / MOT / GST Council and other Government departments at Central and State Level.
  11. Be part of Trade Delegations and enter into MOU’s with FIBC Associations worldwide.
  12. To represent and take membership of Affiliate Associations and Export Promotion Councils within India, CII, ITTA, FIEO, PLEXCONCIL, FICCI, SRTEPC etc.
  13. Formulation of BIS, ISO, BRC, AIB and other international standards for Technical Textiles & FIBC Industry.
  14. Industry Projects, Reports & FIBC Certifications with IIP, Cotecna, Labordata, etc.
  15. Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Management – Training Programs for members and employees.
  16. Conduct 4 Quarterly meetings for review of the Association growth, initiatives and activities along with AGM and Annual CEO Meet.
  17. Developing and Skilling Manpower, Apprenticeship, Resources, Technical training sessions and Employability.
